Amendments to the Company law
The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on Amendments to the Company Law on November 17, 2021 which was published in the Official Gazette of RS No. 109/2021. The provisions of the amended law will be applied as of November 27, 2021, except for the provisions whose application has been postponed, and some provisions will be applied once the Republic of Serbia joins the European Union. The latest changes relate to the headquarters of companies to reduce the number of companies at fictitious addresses, and, in addition to the previously mandatory registration of e-mail addresses the companies are required to be registered on the e-government portal, for compliance with Law on E-government. Another novelty is the forced liquidation of entrepreneurs.
