Labour law amendments adopted

The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Law on Amendments to the Labor Law in December 2017, published in the Official Gazette of the RS No. 113/2017. The amendments are in force as of December 25, 2017, and some of the novelties include employer's obligation to submit the application for compulsory social insurance on the basis of the employment contract (or other contract) before commencement of the work and that the notice of dismissal is delivered to the employee in the manner prescribed for delivery of the decision on termination of the employment contract, in person, at the employer's premises, ie to the address of residence of the employee.
